An exploration of symbolism, this piece is simpler in style than other works in the collection. Blue and gold contrast and complement one another, the eye is led around the composition like a clock face, here we can contemplate change through time. The gold sands of time slip by, and the space around the composition emphasizes what we lose but the beauty in what we gain.
 
This original work is drawn on Daler Rowney Hot Press 300gsm Paper, in Faber Castell Polychromos and Aquarelle Pencil, and finished in white gouache.
