I've always been very intimidated by using watercolour. I took my time to work slowly on this, it was built up through hundreds of layers of gouache (opaque watercolour) to better understand how it blends and layers. I was really drawn to capturing the rich deep tones. This was an excellent opportunity to practice working with such a fantastic medium.
